Kuliatan Marine Sanctuary

Ready for an underwater adventure beyond just swimming? Dive into Kuliatan Marine Sanctuary!

Kuliatan Marine Sanctuary is one of the marine protected areas in the coastal town of San Joaquin, the southernmost town in the province of Iloilo. This marine sanctuary, like many others in the Philippines, protects the vibrant underwater world that’s crucial to the health of our oceans. By opening its doors to tourists, Kuliatan aims to not only provide a thrilling experience but also educate visitors about the importance of environmental responsibility, especially towards marine life.

While it doesn’t boast white sand, Kuliatan offers something even more special – a chance to explore the underwater world. The area is very laidback but developed for visitors, featuring a reception area, a viewing deck, cozy cottages, and even bamboo walkways and a bamboo raft. This makes Kuliatan enjoyable for everyone, even non-swimmers. Life vests are provided, and designated safe areas with ropes are available for you to hold onto while marveling at the underwater wonders.

Kuliatan Marine Sanctuary isn’t just a haven for marine life; it’s a photographer’s paradise too, with panoramic views of the rocky coastline, vibrant coral formations, and the vast surrounding sea.
